Wanaka is ” P
icture Perfect”

Fabulous, breathtaking, amazing. A must-visit is Lake Wanaka in the lake district of New Zealand at the bottom of the gorgeous South Island. If you are into skiing in the winter, world-renowned Cardrona ski field, Treble Cone field for the more advanced skier or Coronet Peak in nearby Queenstown are all world class.

Waterskiing, fishing, golfing and motor racing are just a few of the activities available in the summer. Go to the movies at the Paradiso theatre and sit in a Morris Minor convertible or old lounge suites, deck chairs or the like. Visit and shop at the local supermarket and listen to languages from every corner of the world. You may even run into Shania Twain, who lives there. The restaurants and bars hum all the time. Sit on the lakefront over the road and view the Southern Alps, with Mount Aspiring as your backdrop. If there is the perfect spot, this is it.
