Wanaka stages one of the best Warbirds Airshows in the world so fasten your seatbelts for the next Warbirds over Wanaka airshow taking place 18-20 April 2014.
Over 80 aircraft are set to take part including old favourites the Kittyhawk, Corsair and Catalina.
You will also be able to see some of the famous Warbirds that helped defend freedom during four world conflicts from the Classic fighters of World War I to awesome jets from much later.
Warbirds over Wanaka choreographs these fabulous aircraft in exciting scenarios that recreate history in the skies above you with military vehicles and personnel re-enacting wartime skirmishes on the ground metres from the audience.
In between the displays there are ground stands ranging from local wine and food, aviation, vehicles and market stalls selling all sorts of quality goods to satisfy the shoppers.
Friday 18 April, Practice Day. Saturday 19 & Sunday 20, Airshow Days and for 2014 Monday 21 is Rides Day when you can have the opportunity to ride in a Warbird, Helicopter, Microlight, DC3 and other aircraft.
