Every accommodation provider who is Qualmark rated has undergone a rigorous independent assessment and licensing process to become part of the Qualmark licensing system. This means they have been assessed against criteria covering cleanliness, safety, security and comfort; and the range and quality of services offered to their guests.

Maple Lodge Wanaka belongs to the Guest & Hosted category which includes bed & breakfasts, farm and home stays, guest houses, boutique lodges, inns, country hotels and similar establishments providing “home-like” or “character” accommodation. There’s normally emphasis on the personal interaction between the guest and the host.
Qualmark Green
We have also participated In Qualmark Green. This is a grading system which recognises sustainable initiatives employed by tourism businesses in New Zealand. All businesses that have a Qualmark are assessed on their environmental performance. This is included in minimum requirements and recognises businesses for initiatives in energy, waster, water, conservation and community. Businesses who have met the criteria are given the opportunity to apply for an Enviro award at Bronze, Silver or Gold (according to the level of criteria met).
Those businesses who have fully met all of the Qualmark criteria are offered the opportunity to be awarded Enviro GOLD and are independently verified by an external organisation.
